Collaber Beta v1.0.6.3 Released

We know that it is too early to release another version after 1.0.6. But a bug in a distributed networked system like Collaber may have wide spread affects. We want to make sure that our customers data is not affected due to the bugs. That's why we are releasing this bug-fix release.

Bugs Fixed:

Workspace do not synchronize after changing file in file tool
Joining workspace will fail after an existing member of a workspace have left it.
Context Menu is Weblinks Tool is not working properly.
Feedback Dialog is not visible properly
New Tool Dialog is creating Tools in different Workspace.
Changes to Workspace permissions are not affecting.
Default Roles can be deleted. They must not be deleted.
Unable to open File Sharing Workspace with Double Click in Linux
New Topics do not appear after creating in discussion tool. Needed refresh.
Cleaning-up of chat massage, to remove line breaks at the end.

New Enhancement:

Ability to select file sharing workspace location after accepting invitation
Mac support, Collaber now runs on Mac too

Known Issues with 1.0.6.3:

File Sharing Workspace directory can not be opened using double click on Mac and some other Linux distributions. (minor issue)
Fonts are appearing in irregular sizes across the application in Mac. (minor issue)
Picture tool is slow in showing big pictures, and the picture do not center properly after zoom.
Discussion Item is not expanding after creting a responce in it. (minor issue)
Space Invitations are not deleted from database (internal & wont affect users)
Small Bug in database migration which will get affected only when switching to old version

With this release, Collaber really truly became multi platform Collaboration tool and a powerful Groove Alternative.

Actually, Updates are

Actually, Updates are working fine in our testing. But you are not able to update for some reason we suggest you to download and install new version.

Please Note: All your existing account and data will not be deleted. Only Collaber program will be installed. You can still login and use your accounts. So Always it is good choice to install new version if possible.

This is a great tool, thank you so much for working so hard on this alternative to Groove. You all deserve a pat on the back! Speaking of that, is there any way to make donations to the project?

Collaber is as of now not an

Collaber is as of now not an open source software. It is free because it is still in beta stage. We will have a Basic version for free even later. So I think we can not accept donations. The best way to help Collaber is to spread the word (through blogs etc).

We don't have enough users to be able to find all bugs in it. We need lot more users.

And once final version is releases you can support us by buying some licences.

I have two questions : 1)

I have two questions :

1) What will happen once you have the final version available ? Will all of us have to buy a license ? If so I will have to reconsider starting using Collaber ?

2) Will there be a server version available in the near future ?

All users who are using

All users who are using Collaber now can continue to use for free. Only new users have to buy the licence. Even then we are also planing to have a free version available.
