"remember passwords" should not be saved in clear text, it makes the option unusable if the password is used for anything else as well. Cant the password be encrypted and stored locally?

Yes, From next version

Yes, From next version passwords will be encrypted. Thank you for pointing out. We are planning to release an update this week and this fix will be included in it.

I still get the 'password

I still get the 'password sent in clear text' warning when checking the box, so I cancel it. On the build I d/led just now.

We have not removed the

We have not removed the dialog box as some existing users may have the password already in remembered state. Even though you got the warning, the password is still encrypted if you are using new version. We will remove the dialog box with in next update.
