To whom it may concern,
I am a linux user who had to use windows because my company used groove.
I'm hoping to convince them to use collaber, I ran and tested it in windows with no problems but I appear to be experiencing all sorts in the linux version.
I can create a workspace in linux, but can't open it.
It also crashes after I restart collaber, i.e. I install it and login, then I close it down and reopen login the splash screen runs, followed by the spaces/contacts tab window appearing for a split second.
It looks like I'll have to stick with windows unless someone can help.
Regards
Neil
Hi Neil, We use exact same
Hi Neil,
We use exact same version of Linux (Ubuntu 8.04 hardy) in almost all systems of our Company. And we use Collaber for all internal communication and is installed in all systems. We have not faced any such problems till now. Linux is our main platform of development.
It seems like yours is an isolated issue.
But we are very much interested in solving the problem you are facing. First please send a bug report using.
Help Menu in Collaber-> Send Feedback.
Make sure that the have selected "Attach log file". Do it from your Linux system.
Once we receive your log files we will get back to you with more details.
One more Hint: Make sure you have installed JRE 1.5+ (Sun JVM is required GCJ will not work)

Hi Rajesh,
Thanks for the quick reply, I have also tried collaber on one of my colleagues pc's - he is also running with ubuntu-8.04 hardy.
We encountered the same problems there, the problem is that we can't re-open collaber after we restart it. The only way is if we uninstall and reinstall it.
I'll reinstall and setup the logging before trying anything else to see if that gives me anything and I'll send it to you if I do.

P.S. My java version is 1.6
